The wine estate
Located 45 km from Bordeaux on the hillsides, the chateaux of Vertheuil, Montaunoir and Grand Pique-Caillou constitute the family business of Vignobles Ricard.
For 20 years, my husband Philippe Durand, and myself Genevieve Ricard-Durand, have been in the vineyards and the winery with always the same passion for our profession.
The quality of our wine is our primary concern.
We are seeking to refine the natural privileges enjoyed by the Ricard Vineyards. We vinify in a traditional way in order to express the aromas of fruit and terroir.
We let imagination and taste guide us towards unique and delicious wines
as we give them an expression and a character that belong to no other.
We have friendly and trusting relationships with our customers.
We organize tastings evenings all over France, these events are always very convivial as we have the pleasure of meetings with our customers, we also work with French and foreign professionals whom we regularly visit.

Beautiful shiny gold color. On the nose, the aromas of honey and apricot mingle in a beautiful complexity; the round and delicate palate, with lots of fat and fullness, reveals aromas of acacia and candied fruit.
The three red grape varieties from Bordeaux collaborate on this rosé with a sustained cherry color, a rather discreet but pleasant nose of strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, this wine seduces with its balance: round and suave in attack, it leaves an impression of freshness on the finish.

A fine wine, bursting with sweet notes of spices and ripe blackberry. On the palate, it is supple, consistent, full-bodied and fleshy, the mouth offers a smooth evolution, supported by round tannins. An already very harmonious Bordeaux.

The alliance of a beautiful maturity and a carefully barrel aging reveals elegance and delicacy. The aromas of black fruit and spices blend with notes of chocolate and torrefaction.

Sainte Croix du Mont
This wine has a bouquet with fine fruity and roasted notes, which prolongs a clean, fatty and concentrated palate. The mouth is nicely fruity.

Bordeaux Rouge
Dense wine with ripe tannins, both rich and round; its aromatic palette of black fruits is very present, accompanied by liquorice notes that characterize the Picquecaillou.
Cuvée Imagine

This confidential cuvée comes from Muscadelle alone and has been aged in barrel for two years. A very successful project both woody (coffee, toasted wine) and fruity (citrus and very ripe exotic fruits), ample, rich and persistent. An atypical but well-built white, made from a fully ripe grape.

Clairet
This clairet has a beautiful cherry color. The nose, very fruity and finely spiced, is expressive and intense. At the same time velvety, smooth and fresh on the palate, it is a tasty and remarkably harmonious clairet.
